Matthew works as a dentist with a special interest in oral surgery. He has worked as a Specialty Doctor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at both University Hospital of South Manchester and Wirral University Teaching Hospital. He has also worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Oral Surgery at the University of Liverpool.
He has a postgraduate certificate in medical education and has extensive teaching experience training and supervising undergraduates, DCTs and OS/OMFS trainees. He was regional representative for the British Association of Oral Surgeons and has organised multiple educational events. He is the GDP representative on the Dental Sedation Teachers Group committee and is involved in creating new conscious sedation educational resources.
He is a STAC approved mentor for conscious sedation.
